Mumbai, earlier known as Bombay, is the largest city in India and the capital of Maharashtra state. The city has an estimated metropolitan population of 17 million (2005), making it one of the largest cities in the world. Mumbai is also one of India's largest port cities. Mumbai's nature as the most eclectic and cosmopolitan Indian city is symbolised in the presence of Bollywood within the city, the centre of the globally-influential Hindi film and TV industries.

Visa
Visitors from certain countries need a visa to enter India. You can obtain a formal invitation letter from the organisers.
All applicants for visas are required to have an invitation letter from the Indian authorities. The organisers will coordinate and forward the information of the application to the Indian authorities for issuing the invitation letter. Upon receipt of the visa authorization, the applicant is required to present his/her passport, a recent photograph, a completed visa application form and forward this to the local Indian Embassy or consulate for completion of the formalities.
